Activity Groups

Our HHP Women’s Club is like 21 clubs in one!

There is something for everyone and joining multiple activity groups is the best way to meet new friends. The Club offers many special interest groups and activities, from reading, biking, and cards to beach-walking, lunching, happy hour gatherings, and road trips. Take a look below at some of our current activities. Please note: you must be a member of the Women’s Club to participate. Times and days are subject to change.

Activity Groups

Card Sharks
Card Sharks meets once a week at the Plantation House to play Hand and Foot Canasta. Instruction is available to new members in August and September. Dues are $5, which covers the cost of cards and a luncheon at the end of the year.

Road Show Adventures
Road Show members enjoy a one-day road trip adventure once a month. A tentative schedule of the coming year’s adventures is issued in August/September. Recent outings have included trips to Charleston, Bluffton, Beaufort, and Savannah; a cooking class; miniature golf, and even a Road Rally throughout the neighborhood. There are no dues, but there may be costs involved with some events.

Book Clubs
The Women’s Club offers a variety of book clubs, each with its own meeting schedule, format, and genres. A Book Club organizer/leader helps to locate open book club spaces for newly interested members or helps to start a new club if there is enough interest.

Bible Studies
Small groups, each with its own teacher/leader, bring together ladies from a variety of churches for a common goal: learning more about the Bible and how to live out our faith together.

Biking Buddies
The Buddies bicycle to explore many different areas on Hilton Head Island. They meet at various locations on HHP at 9:30 am on the first Thursday of each month (September-May), for rides ranging from 12-16 miles. There are water breaks and restroom stops, if possible. All you need is a bike, helmet, and the ability to ride at a 10 mph pace. No e-bikes are allowed to be part of the group.

Knit Wits
Knit Wits is a weekly gathering of women who knit or crochet. The group also welcomes those who prefer needlepoint and other handicrafts. Women with all levels of needlework experience are welcome to this casual, fun group!

Happy Hour Gals
Join this casual gathering of women once a month on the first Thursday for happy hour at different locations around the island. There are no fees, and each person is responsible for their own purchases.

Euchre
Euchre meets once a month at the Plantation House. It is an easy and fun game to learn. Instruction is available to new players. Annual dues of $5 covers the cost of cards and a luncheon at the end of the year.

Out to Lunch Bunch
Enjoy luncheons at seven restaurants during the membership year (September through May or June). Annual dues of $10 (accepted by check only) pay for supplies and door prizes. Recently, the Bunch has enjoyed dining at Quarter Deck, One Hot Mamas, Ruan Thai, Truffles, Olive and Fig, Black Marlin, Coast, Wise Guys, Toro, and Old Oyster Factory. If you are new to HHP, this is a great way for you to meet new friends and experience some of Hilton Head’s restaurants.

Beach Walkers
The Beach Walkers take an invigorating 2.5 – 3 mile walk at Islander Beach on Monday and Wednesday mornings, from Labor Day through Memorial Day.

Bluff Walkers
Enjoy the beauty and picturesque scenery of Portal Royal Sound during a morning walk along the Hilton Head Plantation bluff path. This group meets once a week on Fridays from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

Green Thumbers
Green Thumbers meet once a month to learn more about gardening and nature in the Lowcountry. The group invites speakers with Lowcountry gardening expertise. There is a $15 fee for the season.

Flick Chicks
The Flick Chicks enjoy a monthly matinee at one of our local theatres, followed by social time.

Party Bridge
This group meets twice a month at the Dolphin Head Recreation Center Club House. If you play bridge, join the party!

Afternoon Beach Walk
This group meets weekly from Labor Day to Memorial Day for an afternoon walk on Islanders Beach.

Mangia Con Noi (Eat With Us)
This monthly cooking, sharing, and learning club meets in members’ home kitchens. Click here to download this month’s recipe.

Sips at the Pit
Join this group for a monthly outdoor happy hour at the Spring Lake firepit.

Plant Forward Healthy Eating
Meets quarterly to learn ways to incorporate more plant variety into your diet. Cooking demos, meals at restaurants, and farmers markets. Click here to download the Sweet Potato Peanut Stew recipe.

Bridge Lessons
This group meets on the first, second, and fourth Fridays to improve their Bridge skills.

Happy to Help
Join this group to help a different local charity with a project each month.

S-Low Country Hikers 
Meets on the second Monday of the month to explore and hike in SC and Georgia state parks. Hikes are 2 to 10 miles.
