Our commitment is strong. So are our efforts.
Helping those in need is a vital part of the HHP Women’s Club. We regularly hold food and toy drives for Deep Well Project, and contribute to, and actively participate in, many non-profit organizations throughout Beaufort County, including Hopeful Horizons.
Each month, at our general meeting, we try to include a spotlight on a local nonprofit, where their representative shares with us the purpose, history and mission of that charity as well as their current needs and how to get in touch with them. The spotlight helps our members learn what nonprofits are in our area, and think about whether they would like to get involved. The nonprofits featured recently include:
Safe Harbour–volunteers provide transportation and services to island residents to enable them to safely remain in their homes “Neighbors driving neighbors”. https://www.hhisafeharbour.org/
The Children’s Center—Early Childhood Education and Affordable Quality Child Care for Working Families. https://thechildrenscentersc.org/
Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head–serving local children ages 6-18 with meals, outstanding educational and recreational programs after school and all day in the summer. To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. https://www.bgchiltonhead.org/
First Tee–empowering kids and teens through the game of golf. https://firstteelowcountry.org/
International Piano Competition and Hilton Head Symphony—encourage and support excellence in the performance of classical piano. https://www.hhipc.org/
